Old Lahaina, once known as Lele, was a sacred Hawaiian area, site of Moku’ula, the residence of high-chiefs, and capital of the Hawaiian Kingdom. Lahaina town was a popular whaling port; host to the first Christian missionaries; home to sugar mills, pineapple plantations, the first Hawaiian printing press, and the oldest school west of the Rockies. Lahaina has a vibrant historical past that can still be felt today in this picturesque seaside town.
Here in West Maui, there is magic to behold. Whether feasting at the Old Lahaina Luau, surfing at the harbor, snorkeling Olowalu, touring the town in a mini cruiser, or lounging on a sandy beach; our Old Lahaina House provides the perfect “base camp” for an exquisite holiday.
We invite you to immerse yourself in a truly local setting: to explore hidden Maui, to walk the steps of ancient Hawaiians, to “chillax” in the heart of Lahaina Town, and experience island living in the "old style way.". We invite you to join our family at the Old Lahaina House!
